Sustainable Community Groups
Our aim is to grow a network of Community Groups across North Devon with sustainability at their core.
Pilot Project
In 2024 we ran a pilot project with Woolacombe Surf Life Saving Club and Saunton Surf Life Saving Club to make sustainability an intrinsic part of how each club operates and putting environmental awareness into the core decision making processes and workings of the club.
From discussing switching to an ethical bank account to encouraging reusable bottles and cups at training and events the project aims to create a ripple effect of change within a community.
We are looking for other community groups to start their sustainability journey and will also be creating a toolkit to follow in the future.
