Removing plastic straws (paper straws will be replacing plastic straws once the remaining stock has gone)
“From the moment we first clapped eyes on what was to be the site for The Waterside we fell in love with the Taw estuary and made a conscious decision there and then to try and preserve it’s natural beauty and eco system that is home to such a diverse array of wild life. With its otters and wild birds we realised “we”were the guests and so scaling back on plastic seemed to be the only decent thing to do. We urge all that come to visit to be mindful as every bit helps and good planets are hard to find, so do what you can today cause it ain’t no good tomorrow!”
